Michigan @ Tennessee

Regular Season Records: Michigan 18-14; Tennessee 27-7

What to Know

The #5 Tennessee Volunteers and the Michigan Wolverines are set to clash at 5:15 p.m. ET March 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Tennessee earned some more postseason success in their game on Thursday. They put a hurting on the Longwood Lancers to the tune of 88-56. The Volunteers’ guard Santiago Vescovi looked sharp as he shot 6-for-8 from beyond the arc and finished with 18 points and seven dimes.

Meanwhile, the Wolverines didn’t have too much trouble with the Colorado State Rams on Thursday as they won 75-63. It was another big night for Michigan’s center Hunter Dickinson, who had 21 points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks.

Tennessee is the favorite in this one, with an expected 6-point margin of victory. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a four-game streak of ATS wins.

A couple numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: Tennessee enters the contest with 15.9 takeaways on average, good for 19th best in college basketball. On the other end of the spectrum, Michigan is stumbling into the matchup with the second fewest takeaways in college basketball, having accrued only 10.1 on average. So the cards are definitely stacked against the Wolverines.
